How to Perrinkable Blood Patch

The Perrinkable Blood Patch for summary is through the 19-gauge introducer needle, 5 to 10 mLs of the patient's blood as you're pulling out the needle. The idea is that the whole blood will go into the air spaces and clot and then it also fills the track as you pull the needle out. So, very tail-end of the procedure takes 10 to 20 seconds. It doesn't take any extra time and it's just really routine. We do it in every case and I'm pretty sure that it decreases complications.
