Napoleon and the Scientific Expedition

In the year of 1799 Napoleon was in Egypt. He led a force of 40,000 men and had occupied the land of the Nile. But he took with him a whole scientific expedition. These were not just any scholars, these were the top thinkers of the day. A soldier noticed that one of the stones being gathered for the building had writing on it. This Rosetta stone divided into three different sections, and each part was written on in a different script. It became known as 'The Rosetta Stone'
