Alzheimer's Disease and Down Syndrome - What's New?

These findings are really the first to directly compare two genetic forms of Alzheimer's disease cross-sectionally. By doing this, we actually saw that there are more areas that are similar than are different for these two diseases. Currently, adocanamab and lacanamab are not approved for individuals with Down syndrome because they were not included in any of those clinical trials.
