2001 is the most successful experimental film. Ever have played at a wide, wide release. Part of what makes 2001 so great to some audiences is that it is very hard sci-fi. It's almost like a Grand Canyon thing where it's like, what are you going to say? "I think part of a good way to think about this movie is it's a very bifurcated experience"
