Smith came to be known as Stevie when she was about 19 or 20. Her aunt always called her Peggy, or Peggy, in her hull accent. So even in her name, it gave her sort of way of living a double life. But we can call it a fairly normal, lower middle class genteel, life art in Palmer at that time.
