David mammot, who created some of the most vivid and memorable plays of our lifetime, has had a whole bunch of clunkers in a row. Harlan decided that he was a writer for hire. And if someone was going to pay him, he was going to do the writing. Stephen king, one of the greatest writers of our time, goes to writers conferences. He's paying it forward. We have to learn how to fly, to fly solo, to dig a ditch to do the plumbing, to come up with the bad ideas on our way to having the insight to tell them apart from good ideas.
