A lot of the things that sort of have contributed to issues that I might deal with today are connected to me being harder on my younger self. So when I get into that mode of repeating affirmations, I am sending messages really down the line to younger versions of me like let them know things are different recognizing the difference between the past and the present. Also acknowledging where at times I have been wrong about me and I've been too hard on me. It's unrealistic to expect affirmations to act as an end to end solution. They are actually a form of self soothing so way of regulating your emotions are a way of calming and soothing use they can act as a way of comforting you in
