The Wealthiest Woman in the World, Sarah Winchester
In 1886 Sarah Winchester left New Haven officially moving to San Jose where she bought an eight room farmhouse named Yanada Villa with plans to renovate it into a glorious mansion. So now she is one of the wealthiest women in the world at this time. She put some of these funds towards the Winchester chest clinic at New Haven Yale Hospital and the rest of it went towards her cross country move. I have photos for you here to look at what it looked like then when she bought it and what it looks like today.
