Introduction
The Council of Nicaea was a meeting designed to stabilize its doctrines. By 325 Christianity had already been designated as a permitted religion with the Edict of Milan in 313. There are about 10,000 pages of surviving primary material from Christian theologians writing prior to the year 325.
