Is There a Difference Between Vertical and Horizontal Writing?

I'd be interested to see if cultures that were exclusively vertically. I know there are like Chinese and Japanese that write vertically, but they also can write horizontally. There's not very many or too few of them to get generalized. And there's probably not enough that are not bilingual. Right. We'll have to go talk to them on those.
