The Matthew Effect in Education
The Matthew effect where the more you know the more you're able to know because there are more ways in which things can connect to your existing network. It's something that we find in other areas in education as well looking at how people do in school and stuff like that. The author is pretty clear for himself that spirit and attitude and cultural important for transfer of learning he talks about theory as being separate from knowledge but I don't find it worth reporting on.
