Is the AI Act Going to Be a Live Process?

The AI Act is already a draft, it's being discussed and might be passed as soon as next year. Do we have metrics to actually pass this law? Or is it going to be very much a live process to kind of sort this out? I think probably these things, probably the AI act will be able to learn from some of the work that is currently ongoing where people are trying to solve different ethical conundrums or problems on language models. And regulation will also create some realities that will just matter for language model researchers. So I don't know how exactly it's going to land, but I think it is an example where we can see that research is so close to real world
