The Chinese Diaspora - What's Happening in the Background?
CNN's John Sutter has been working on a book about the Chinese diaspora. He says it was difficult to track down descendants of those who emigrated from China in the 20th century. One reason is that they often changed their names and tried to hide their identity, he says. The project also involved tracking anti-Chinese immigration laws which would have stopped them coming into the country.
