We are built to retrieve, we are just built to retrieve things that we know really well. retrieval practice prevents the effects of stress and significantly so in kind of all situations,. be it in a non-stress or a stress situation. If ever there was a reason to do retrieval practice, that is it. We're looking at a way to prevent students from looking for ways to increase their ability to do well in exams.
