The Beauty of Exposure to a World Culture
I can't recall a time that they called a local person elite, or someone that wasn't white to them. So what I'm hearing is, you kind of get the best of many worlds. You gain a level of knowledge and respect about other cultures, while still maintaining both your community and a sense of elitism. And then this wealthy ward serves as the leadership supply to all these impoverished surrounding LDS branches. Right, exactly right.
