The Passion of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was a sacrifice. His whole life is an offering to the Father and how his sacrifice substitutes our disobedience with his obedience. And we get to participate in his sacrifice. The next note, the next thing to note is that Jesus actually died. Because he united himself so fully to us, because he loves us so fully, he not only entered into suffering, but also near death.
