ASCO Guidelines for Management of Small Renal Masses

The management of small renal masses has become increasingly complex over the last 10 years. Up to 25% of these masses will turn out to be benign and another 25% will have an indolent natural history with limited metastatic potential. This guideline does not address the management of confirmed benign tumors such as image-proven angiomyolipoma or biopsy-proven oncocytoma. The recommendations in these guidelines are based upon answering three primary clinical questions.
