Dr. Tremelay: Follow up is one of the most important parts of treatment of Kawasaki disease. Every child should have another echo within two weeks of leaving the hospital, she says. If someone has had Kawasaki before and maybe they've been followed as a pediatric patient, now they're about to go see an adult provider. And hopefully sometimes that can be the same provider.
