The 18 by 18 is a construct of outcomes written by professors Barry Hazan and Ben Jacobs to try and articulate what general goals should be for Jewish education. Shukhi then wrote an article with professor Ben Jacobs about why people are talking about these outcomes in terms of the shoulds of Jewish education. I think there's an underestimation because I don't really know anyone who walks into an environment which says at the end of this experience I don't want young people or people in general could be adults as well to know feel or do something differently than when they came into that experience. i view the 18 by 18 framework as an invitation to expand more goals and diversify the goals of jewish
