Why Should I Care About the Future?

I like the idea that humanity is self-sustaining and will at least, you know, live in reasonable harmony with nature sustainably into the future. I'd also say that there is recent evidence that governments can do things that are meaningful. It's never going to be too late to keep it from getting even worse. And so we could lament what we didn't do, but that doesn't help us. We just got to do what we can.
