How Do I Know What My Ideal Body Weight Is?
The RDA for protein is at about 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. For example, if you're like 150 pounds that would be 54 grams of protein. But more and more research is coming out or really finding that that's not really sufficient especially as we age,. I think we're losing like 3-5% of lean body mass per year by the time we're like 60-65. So typically I recommend closer to 0.8 to 1 gram per ideal body weight, which is obviously a lot higher than the RDA.
