The Role of Reality Triggers in Paranormal Activity

Every character has a built-in hook that the GM can just spend a little bit of their currency to make happen then and there. One of the things that you've mentioned is your creature seemingly with with pretty potent powers reading through for lack of a better term what I'll call the playbooks. Is there any self-sensoring or anti-mimetic properties of anomalies because it seems like one of those things where a single youtube video could kind of blow the lid on paranormal activity kind of being a thing out in the world?
