Allianza Para, Progress

In 1961, Kennedy introduced the alliance for progress. It sought to reforged Pan-Americanism into a sword against Castro and every other potential revolutionary in the western hemisphere. In late January of 1961, JFK gets his first briefing on the Bay of Pigs invasion plan. The Pentagon officials tell him that the sabotage operations are not getting the job done.
