The Importance of Collective Responsibility

There is a sense in which they might be held personally responsible. Imagine a cooperative firm which pollutes a river. People in the cooperative have voted for against the particular technology that creates the pollution. And my argument is that when it comes to clean up time, everybody should pay a share of the costs. So you can't get out of it, basically. You can oppose something which you see is wrong, and yet you're still going to have to pay the price.
