The Importance of Lighting in a Movie
The lighting is like the look pass. It's sitting under fluorescent lights. Somebody actually does something cinematic. Lighting was when they bring all the mood and atmosphere and smoke. There's just a mask and a filter that adds shot information. If you want more information just turn on the mask. Otherwise I maintain about 30 tracks. I just do mono and dual mono and stereo situations. More or less sorted by character. We use color coding on the clip so that we know what is production dialogue, what is scratch dialogue or tracks on the bottom for music. Because you're still using left right mono tracks for music. Two tracks for dual mono or all stereo. Even if it's ambience effects
