The Elliot family had been working with a tribe called Kichuas, very friendly Indians. They were reducing their language to writing and translating the Bible for them. But they knew that the Alkas had never had a missionary. The five men included my husband, Jim Elliot. And so we began to pray that the Lord would make it possible for somebody to go there.
