The Democrat Party used it to demonize their political opponents 100%. It doesn't shine brightly on freedom of speech. America would be better served by finding ways to be lenient in those situations, but they can't do that. The Biden administration is in a situation where they have to exact a certain amount of fear into their opposition. And honestly, it's having a very, very good effect for the most part.
