The Criticism of Epicureanism
At first glance, it looks like a lot of the critique of Epicureanism consists in rolling out various sort of examples of great Roman figures. But Cicero was not a traditional patrician Roman; he's what's known as a novelist homo. He reached the top of the political tree without belonging to one of the great traditional Roman families. The author says there are more interesting things to be said than that.
