CHAPTER

Monotheism and the Nambiquira

Monotheism is thought to have emerged for related reasons as a locust to unite different competing tribes with different identities into one political formation versus others. And evans pritchard noted that monotheistic ideas were gaining traction among the newer and spread by some of their recent prophets as well, apparently for similar reasons. So i think the stuff about monotheism is what the authors are hinting about when they talk about newer prophits lwing us to imagine a whole new type of social organization. But i think that they left out all this context for a reason because all this stuff just hilates how important conditions are.
