A New Battery That's 99.7% Energy Efficient

Crabs, shrimps, lobsters and other crustaceans have exoskeletons made of cells containing chitin that make their shells harder. Scientists chemically processed the chitin and added in something called acetic acid aqueous solution. They synthesized it into something softer and more gel-based to use as an electrolyte for a battery. The next thing they do is combine this electrolyte with zinc,. And the result was a renewable battery that is 99.7% energy efficient even after a thousand battery cycles.
