David's Heart Strikes Him

David's heart struck him, we're told, after he had numbered the people. He confesses to God that he has sinned greatly and asks for forgiveness. But instead of giving David an answer, a prophet called Gad sends him three options. These are all bad choices; you can't ask for a fourth one.
