Desalination Watermaker

Desalination at a large scale is very expensive. It would use an endless source of water, it could help lower rising sea levels. In theory, if the plants situated in the right places allow for clean water to be pumped around all continents just like oil and gases nowadays. Valuable reservoirs wouldn't go dry, much needed water in areas of drought could be supplied for crops. But mostly it's an energy cost plate at the moment.
