Taking Care of Pneumonia

Pneumonia is a diagnosis that we kind of take for granted and often don't. Befriending or working closely with intensivists who are taking care of the patients, along with nurses and respiratory therapists can be critically important in trying to formulate the safest and smartest plan for people. Pick up the phone or stopping someone on rounds I think is an undervalued thing in VAP care and clinical care in general. They are also the easiest team to find because you always know where they are because they're on the unit.
