In Rajestan the Rate of Female Labor Force Participation Is Higher Than in Urban Areas
North india generally tends to have higher rates of seclusion. In urban areas in towns and cities it's 13 percent for female labor force participation. Families are perfectly happy for women to work in the fields because they're not mixing and mingling with outsiders but in urban areas families might be much more reluctant as a risk to male honor so even though many women who i spoken to in rajestan would like a job it's principally a government job.
We're in the 21st century, and it would seem that the world is finally moving towards gender equality, right? Not so fast.
