The Uncanny Valley in Story Telling

The uncanny valley is a concept that most of us are familiar with when it comes to robots made in the likeness of a human being, or certainly when we get into computer generated imagery and films. But where i think there is an uncanny valley is if we then say, was this written by a machine? And if so, what kind of machine?
