Indian myths and religions have a very different way of viewing floods. Daedad Patnai talks about why there are Hindu rituals seeking rains from Lord Indra, but no rituals that seek a pause in the rain so that we can recover from floods. And while it was written well before the idea of climate change came into being, our myths do tell us of the perils of taking too much from nature.
