The Evolution of Kant

Kant lived long enough to go through at least three phases. His earlier phase is pre critical phase, we could say he was very interested in cosmology. He had been assuming this sort of naive realism that's baked into the Newtonian perspective on nature. And so based on my past experience, he said, yeah, it seems like this ball will do that when it hits that ball. But that's not a law. I have no basis for the formation of laws, which would be necessary and universal.
