The Importance of Keeping Seats Open
A lot of financial leaders build their business models, are their financial models off of keeping seats open. So they literally don't want to fill them. And there's this weird push and pull between the people in the organization that are feeling the heat and the people that are reporting numbers. But it slowly, especially, I think, at companies that continually doing this, you get to this point where maybe when someone leaves, they actually are doing the job of three people.
