"This is a really, it's not a book I've ever, I've ever imagined writing," he says. "We had at least two major rewrites and then a couple other kind of small rewrites" The first half of the book is about one person in his relationship with a variety of Americans that helped him get out. It just as we were finishing the writing the book some more information about where he was and life came out.
