When we say get in, there's lots of uses of this. We can simply get in the car and drive to work. Or we can get in some food for the party that we're going to have at the weekend. To get someone into trouble is when you tell the teacher, for example, that your friend broke the window. You've got to really put your head down in those books and revise as much as possible.
