The plane's elevator control cables were made of stainless steel. They had been removed, checked and reinstalled in october two thousand six before delivery of the airplane to ar morea. After a normal take off, the flaps were retracte at about 350 feet. The pilot then lost pitch control of the airplane,. which adopted a steep nose down attitude.
