The Cube: A Puzzle for Students

The first fans of the cube were architects, designers and mathematicians who showed it to their colleagues at international conferences. Mr Rubik thought it might be a good idea to start mass production but in the Hungarian-communistron economy of the 1970s, opportunities for business were limited. Only about one percent of people can solve the puzzle without any help - though every position of the cube can be solved in 20 moves or less.
