What Is the Meaning of the Experiences?
Barfield believed that he was getting true knowledge at this point when they met. And lewis felt that this was an illusory,. sort of a psychological deception at the moment. But i think barfield finally got him to realize that there was meaning in these experiences, but he was never able to accept that there was knowledge. So the keyword really here is knowledge.
