We wanted the store to be immutable. We needed to use the functional language, but that's one of the features that we're looking for. And then we got something called Ice, which is kind of a modern version of Corba, but gives you very low latency connectivity. It's used by several banks. You quickly mentioned hot releases, which I think is interesting because a lot of people talk about that as being a benefit, but I've never heard of anyone actually using it.
