Women in the Workforce in India - Is There a Shorter Workweek?
India has one of the lowest number of women in the workforce at about 25 to 30 percent compared to several other developing countries. A shorter work week a law may not be enough to address this systemic barrier that prevents you know women from entering and remaining in the workforce. However it could be one part of the broader set of policies and practices that promote gender equality in the workplace.
