If we are building a feature of base camp that's brand new then we can use this process because we have so many clear constraints from the existing app. However if we're working on a brand new product which we actually are doing right now then you have to use a different approach and in that case you want to integrate the shaping and the building into the same people. For a brand new project without a clear architecture, a new product, you actually want to kind of half build everything. So the pragmatic programmers they call it firing tracer bullets.
