The Disadvantages of Blood Plasma

I don't think we've had a national conversation about whether or not this is okay. People who sell plasma don't necessarily want to expose this industry as being predatory because they depend on it for an income. So there isn't a real ground swell of public support to look into this and regulate it more heavily. But that would also require political will to address these underlying problems in our society. And if donors should be paid more and treated better, particularly in terms of not being expected to donate so often.
