What's the Difference Between Greek and Latin?

A lot of the vocabulary that we have in english for these fields comes from latin and it comes from greek. We also say this play out in terms of which languages we borrow scientific or technical vocabulary from. Gretchen, you told me that tungston is actually a swedishor ye, and i got completely surprised, because i just assumed that it has a latin or a greek origin. Ye, i came across a stweet saying that tungsten is literally from heavy stone in swedish. Which you can kind of see that stand meaning stone part. So we didn't even borrow ther name for the element from them. We borrowed the word heavy stone
