Paleontologist Steve Grasati is one of the most acclaimed paleontologists and science communicators alive on the planet to day. In his new book as rise and rein of the mammals, he argues that there are more mammal species than any other animal or germs in the world. He says we don't always appreciate them but they're incredibly important for ecological reasons.
