The Transforming of the Solo

The human being is the inverted plant. The root that the plant sinks into the ground corresponds to the head of the human being. This was called the chaste kiss of the sunbeam, the sacred lance of love. When we consider these things imaginatively it is not only our thought but also our sensation and feeling that is led deeply into the world surrounding us. That is the real deepest innermost meaning of the sign of the cross.
